On Wednesday, June 3rd at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, Move Forward Music will be teaming up with JAWS and VV/ Recordings to present “Something Special: NYC,” D.R.A.M.‘s New York City headline debut.
The German-born, Hampton, VA-bred emcee, will be performing songs off his #1EpicEP, which includes the Super Mario Bros.-sampling ode to Latin girls and Beyonce’s ‘happy song of the moment, “Cha Cha.” The buzzmaker will be joined by super sought-after tastemaker DJ Kitty Cash, and DJ Supladies.

Jesse Boykins III takes a trip down memory lane, sharing “The Wonder Years” of his life with a slideshow of polaroids and low-fi clips.
Since the release of his incredible 2014 LP, Love Apparatus, Chicago-native Jesse Boykins III has been keeping himself busy touring and serving up his take on popular singles like Drake’s “From Time.” Staying consistent, the Zulu Guru returns with a video for his Machinedrum co-produced effort, “The Wonder Years.”
Compiling a collection of Polaroids taken throughout his career, Jesse and director/photographer Julian Schratter document the Soul singers journey in this four-minute thirty-eight second visual. Between the collage of photos which features cameos from Theophilus London, DJ Kitty Cash, Kilo Kish, Vic Mensa and more, timely placed 8mm shots of Jesse grooving in the sun are added in as well as a black-and-white clip of the tracks brief interlude.

It appears as though this twenty year old rapping machine has dropped a powerful sound right into our laps. C Dot Castro returns to the scene with a party-themed track perfect for the summer months we have coming upon us. Castro delivers some intricate rhymes over the uptempo instrumental, provided by in-house producer Jae Faive. Craze provides the production to allow Rich The Kid and everyone else to flow effortlessly over the new offering.
